Forum Rules

Read and understand these. There is no excuse for not knowing these. We reserve the right to change these rules at any time.

Use Common Sense

If you have a problem with the server or the staff, perhaps about a forum/game ban or punishment, PM (Private Message) the person who banned you nicely with respect. We will do what we can to help you. Being disrespectful, insulting staff, and/or being completely immature will probably not get you help with anything.

Trying to PM different staff members to "play the staff against each other" is frowned upon. If you try to PM another staff member to complain about a ban, and the staff who banned you was right and said he/she won't unban you, then that is the end of it. Do not drag the staff through the mud. Once you are banned, you will rarely ever get unbanned.

The Rules

1) Show respect to all members, especially staff.

This is a community, and a community thrives on respect. Since people seem to forget what respect is, respect is being kind to another person, not resorting to insults and flames all the time, and showing acceptance of other people's opinions. When it comes to staff, you must respect their authority over you, and accept their judgements and decisions. When it comes to rules, you must accept the game and forum rules, and agree to follow them.

All flames need to be kept to yourself. Personal/staff flames are NOT allowed. Only game flames are allowed (and personal flames to a certain extent), and in the flames section of the forums only. See forum rule #5 below.

Posting Staff PMs in the public without their permission will get you punished. Especially if you flame them. No exceptions.

Posting other players PMs in the public is also punishable, though most likely not as severe. Player PMs posted in the public will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

2) Post in English only. If you must use another language, post a full English translation.

This is to keep the community from being seperated by languages, countries, race, sex, etc. Language barriers tend to end up in racism, as well as do nothing to help people communicate. Post in English.

3) Do Not Spam the Forums.

SPAM does nothing to help the forums. All it does is make more work for the moderators, and more wasted reading for forum members.

No +1 posts. No /close posts.

Quote:
Yea, I agree +1
Quote:
+1 before this threads gets /closed
Making these spam posts will get your posts deleted, may get you warned, and worst case you may get your posting privileges removed until you can learn to not spam. Use common sense (and if you don't have it, learn it).

Read the forums before posting, don't double post questions that are posted already!

4) Do Not Advertise Other Servers

You need to understand that this server/forum is not a platform to advertise different servers/services or whatever cool new L2 server you want to steal population for. Advertising is probably going to be an instant ban. In some cases we may not ban you, if it's a minor advertisement/accident.

5) Flames in the 'Fight Club' Forums ONLY

Any flames found outside the flame section will be moderated, deleted, edited, etc. Let's grow up and keep the flames in the right place.

Note: This is ESPECIALLY true of the Clan Recruitment forum. If you flame/hijack threads there you will be walking a thin line. Respect people's recruitment threads!

Note: The 'Fight Club' forums are NOT for staff/personal flames, FOR ANY REASON! You are only allowed to flame about game characters/events, because of it being a game. Personal flames are allowed to some extent, but threads targeted at insulting one user will be closed.

6) Keep Signatures Small and Clean

No signatures that are more than 690 pixels wide, or 175 pixels tall. Make sure your signatures are clean of any pornographic or indecent material. See rule #7.

7) No Pornographic or Indecent Posts, Pictures, or Links

Do not link to or post any pornographic or indecent material. No pictures. No websites. No videos. If you can see any of the "sexual" parts on of a person in that picture, then it is too much.

This rule DOES APPLY to signatures, as well as ANY part of these forums. Just don't do it.

The general rule is if you were 16 or less and your parents saw you posting or looking at such things, would you get in trouble? (The correct answer is "Yes".)

Punishments

Punishment Levels

1. Warnings/infractions may be issued.

These will expire after some time, and may limit your ability to use the forums. DO NOT post public threads about any warnings/infractions. PM (Private Message) the person who gave it to you if there is a problem.

2. Forum/game accounts may be suspended.

Suspensions will last a couple days, or maybe even a few weeks. Essentially, you will NOT be able to login and post / play the game until the suspension wears off.

3. Forum/game accounts may be banned.

If you are banned, don't expect to get it back without a GOOD reason. Do NOT post public threads about your ban. This also applies to warnings. DO NOT post public threads. Personal message (PM) the person who banned you, and if you don't know who, another staff member.

As always, respect the staff and be mature and we might unban you. This depends on what you did, of course.

About Punishments

The punishment depends on the crime. Someone who is constantly spamming the forums, flaming in general section, and disrespecting the staff will be banned.

Someone who spams/flames in the wrong section will probably get a warning.

We just want to run a nice, clean, fun server community for everyone. Let's follow the rules and get along, be a real community, and make the job for the staff easier.

Thanks for reading the rules. Make sure you don't break them.

IRC Rules

This FAQ / Rules page was created by Rikku. Much thanks.

General Rules:

1) First rule: use your common sense. The same basic rules apply on IRC as on the forums.

2) When entering the channel, make sure to read the channel topic; it may contain important information.

3) Don't speak entirely in all-capitals, 1337-speak or foul language - and please speak English. (If you require support in another language because you are not fluent in English, please ask for help in English and we may be able to help or direct you to someone who can). If you're able to speak good English, use your abilities - computers provide you with a full keyboard and there is no need 2 spk lik ur txtng sum1.

4) On the same lines as the above point, please do not use scripts that output strange things such as [LauGhiNg~OuT~loUd], as it is likely to annoy all sane people on the channel. The same applies for away scripts/messages, especially ones that repeatedly announce your away status. Basically, no scripts that automatically output anything at all without user intervention and no annoying ASCII-art-speak.

5) Do not repeat yourself or flood the channel (this includes pasting large amounts of text, for example an error message more than 5 lines) - excess repeating will earn a warning and deliberate flooding will get you a ban from the channel. If you have a large (over five lines) amount of text you need to paste, use http://www.pastebin.com. If you asked your question some time ago and it is now off the screen, you may ask again.

6) If you have a problem with a user, talk to a channel operator (the names of channel operators will be preceded by an %,@,& or ~). Do not flame (attack) the user, publicly or privately.

7) Never spread a private message conversation from a GM unless you have his/her permission to do so.

8) Please do not report bugs on the channel. We got our bug forums for that

9) Please do not PM (/msg) admins with support questions without first asking or being invited to. This includes Gm‘s, Fm‘s and Dev‘s . If your problem absolutely must be discussed in private, ask the admin first and don't get annoyed if they say no.

Voice Communication Rules

Will be written soon. Please use common sense.

Lineage II Rules

1. Respect the staff.
- If a member of the staff asks something of you, do it as soon as possible.
- Respect does not mean kissing ass.
- No staff impersonation.

2. No 3rd Party Programs, No Bots, and No Dual Boxing
3rd Party Programs: macros, keyboard programming, or any other extra program that helps you play or cheat is *not* allowed.
Dual Boxing: one person controlling more than one char at the same time in game. This is *not* allowed. Play your own account.

3. Exploiting
- Exploiting consists of taking advantage of the game mechanics in a way that is not intended by the creators of the game, or the staff of this server.

Examples:
- Mob Pathing, Perching, or any type of action against an NPC where they can not retaliate.
- HTML exploits, or any method of obtaining items 'unnaturally'.
- Rift is a special case. You may not attack anyone inside the Rift rooms, you may not hate other players to make them exploit through doors, you may not exploit through doors yourself, and you may not steal other partes mobs/Raid Bosses, nor use Soul Crystals / skills on their mobs / Raid Bosses. Rift is a special, "instance dungeon" and is the only place this is not allowed.
- Shooting through gates, which is allowed *only* if the gate can be opened and closed (like the Zaken gate and castle gates), or if the gate is not a "solid wall" and it's possible to see your enemies through it. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be punished.

4. Chat
- Shouts must be in English!
- No flooding any chat channel.
- No negative comments about one’s race, sex, or nationality.

5. Accounts
- Users are allowed one account only. Creating two accounts or taking over a friend's account are not allowed. Users who share IP addresses with other users do not need to report their IP address.
- If you own two or more accounts, and do not want to get all your accounts disabled, then report yourself to a GM and we will let you keep one account. We appreciate honesty.

6. Shops
- Private shops are not allowed near NPCs.
- You are not allowed to block doorways, place shops on stairs (like in Giran) or block a NPC (gatekeepers or warehouse keepers).

7. Griefing
- We do not encourage griefing. However, this is a PVP based game. Handle it as you may.
- If you get griefed, handle it in game. Use any means necessary, provided it is within the rules of the server. The only exception is if you are being harassed by players significantly higher level then yourself.

8. Scamming
- Shop scamming is not allowed.
- Mis-typing prices etc will be factored into our decision. Overpriced shops do not count as scams.
- Purposely setting up a shop to scam players (i.e. shop sign with "varnish 1.4k" with Baby Spice selling for 1.4k) will be a punishable offense.

9. Selling:
- Buying, selling, or trading anything that is related to Azure L2 for real money is *not* allowed and will result in a punishment for both the buyer and seller.
- Trading items or accounts to/from a completely different server is not allowed. Anyone who will be involved in such trades will be punished.
- If you need more details, please read the End User License Agreement or ask a staff member for clarification.

Not all rules are explicitly mentioned. We reserve the right to create new rules if the need arises. If you are not sure about a rule, please ask a GM.

I feel it is just as important to know your own boundaries as it is to know our boundaries, thus:

GM Rules

1. Taking yourself off the /gmlist and having whisper mode off, should only be used as necessary. i.e- events, checking a possible boxer/botter/exploiter etc. Be visible and available to the public.
2. No Favoritism.
3. No unauthorized transactions with a player.
4. No using your GM powers to help a player.
5. Players are our business, treat them with respect, and they will treat you with respect.
6. In most cases, we will be cops, not a help desk.
7. Do not interfere with player affairs unless it is observed they are breaking the rules.

If you find a GM violating his own rules, or if you think that a GM has done something wrong, you may report it through the forums or IRC.
